E4D-Compare Software for Dental Analysis

E4D-Compare Software for Dental Analysis Unique Point: The E4D-Compare programming is an inventive apparatus that gives prompt input to students’ tasks and capabilities. It ought to give steady scores in any event, when various scanners are utilized which may have inalienable inconspicuous contrasts in adjustment. This investigation meant to assess potential inconsistencies in assessment utilizing the E4D Compare programming dependent on four distinctive NEVO scanners in dental life systems ventures. Moreover, relationship among's advanced and visual scores was assessed. Techniques: Thirty-five ventures of maxillary left focal incisors were assessed. Among these, thirty wax-ups were performed by four administrators and five comprised of standard dentoform teeth. Five scores were acquired for each undertaking: one from a teacher that outwardly evaluated the venture and from four diverse NEVO scanners. A staff engaged with showing the dental life systems course indiscriminately scored the thirty-five ventures. One administrator checked all undertakings to four NEVO scanners (D4D Technologies, Richardson, TX, USA). The pictures were adjusted to the best quality level, and resilience set at 0.3 mm to create a score. The score reflected rate coordinate between the undertaking and the best quality level. Single direction ANOVA with rehashed measures was utilized to decide if there was a critical contrast in scores among the four NEVO scanners. Combined example t-test was utilized to distinguish any distinction between visual scores and the normal scores of the four NEVO scanners. Pearson’s connection test was utilized to survey the connection among visual and normal scores of NEVO scanners. Results: There was no critical contrast in scores among four distinctive NEVO scanners (F(3, 102)=2.27, p=0.0852 single direction ANOVA with rehashed measures). Additionally, the information gave solid proof that a critical distinction existed among visual and advanced scores (p=0.0217; a matched example t-test). Mean visual scores were fundamentally lower than computerized scores (72.4 versus 75.1). Pearson’s relationship coefficient of 0.85 showed a solid connection among's visual and computerized scores (p End: The E4D Compare programming gives reliable scores in any event, when various scanners are utilized and corresponds well with visual scores. Watchwords PC helped learning/PC helped reproduction (CAL/CAS), Dental life structures, E4D Compare programming CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE The utilization of imaginative advanced evaluation instruments in dental instruction is promising with the E4D Compare programming connecting great with visual scores and giving reliable scores in any event, when various scanners are utilized SHORT RUNNING TITLE Creative Digital Assessment Tool Presentation Dental life structures is a course given to the primary year dental understudies at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Dental Clinics (UICOD) to furnish understudies with fundamental information on dental life structures and dental phrasing to fill in as a strong establishment for the accompanying courses all through their school years. It is intended to build up the psychomotor abilities important to capably recreate tooth shapes in wax to have the option to apply these aptitudes in their future clinical practice. Understudies are tested with four waxing tasks during the course. Assessment of these undertakings and giving legitimate criticism to self-evaluation to set up long lasting learning are as yet significant issues that should be tended to in the dental life systems course. Customarily employees engaged with the course have utilized a pre-built up agenda (Table 1) to give progressing input during the course, and furthermore to decide the evaluation by adding directs related toward explicit rules. This visual assessment is tedious and constrained by grader weariness, subjectivity, and inconsistency.1 The irregularity among various employees is additionally the most every now and again noted worry from understudy criticism after the course that may adversely influence students’ learning process and performance.2 PC helped learning and evaluating instruments have been presented as of late and have indicated extraordinary guarantee in giving objectivity to the reviewing framework, yet additionally decreasing the outstanding task at hand of faculty.3 An advanced gadget utilizing blue laser innovation (Nevo scanner, D4D Technologies, Richardson, TX, USA) offers high filtering picture quality at a quick video-rate speed and convenience. A PC to the E4D Design Center gives quick preparing of the outputs. Through this new innovation, understudies can produce a top notch 3-D virtual model of their extend and get quick input on disparities by contrasting it with the highest quality level controlled by the course director.4 A perfect proportion in a dental homeroom setting is to oblige one scanner for each ten students.3 Therefore numerous scanners are normally used to encourage legitimate educating and learning experience for all understudies. It is normal that predictable scores will be acquired in any event, when various scanners are utilized which may have characteristic inconspicuous contrasts in adjustment. In any case, with the ongoing presentation of this computerized innovation, there is an absence of data on how precisely various scanners identify with one another, just as absence of proof on how well visual scores by workforce associate to scores produced by the advanced appraisal strategy. This examination expected to investigate potential inconsistencies in assessment in dental life structures ventures utilizing the E4D Compare programming dependent on four distinctive NEVO scanners. Furthermore, connection among's computerized and visual scores was assessed. The speculations tried were tha t: first, the E4D Compare programming will give reliable evaluations in any event, when various scanners are utilized, and second, there will be no relationship among's visual and advanced scores. MATERIALS AND METHODS The examination was resolved to be a non-human subject research venture by the Institutional Review Board of the University of Iowa. Dental Anatomy Wax-Up of Tooth #9: The maxillary left focal incisor (#9) was utilized for the assessment of this investigation. Four administrators (Junior dental understudies) freely waxed up a sum of thirty activities dependent on the wax-expansion strategy portrayed in the UICOD Dental Anatomy Manual. The most extreme time took into consideration the wax-up was 3 hours, which is likewise the time apportioned to understudies during their waxing competency in the Dental Anatomy course. Also five dentoform teeth of tooth #9 (Kilgore model, Nissin Dental Corp., Tokyo, Japan) were incorporated for assessment. The first Kilgore typodont tooth likewise filled in as the highest quality level for assessment purposes. Five scores were gotten for each venture: one from a teacher and four from NEVO scanners 1 to 4 Visual Evaluation of Wax-ups and Typodont Teeth: An employee engaged with training the dental life structures course was blinded and scored every one of the thirty-five activities dependent on the registration of the UICOD Dental Anatomy Course (Table 1). The registration comprised of three classes including: contact territories, embrasure and line points; facial and lingual shape; incisal edge and surface complete the process of, signifying an aggregate of 23 models. In view of the expansion of right models the last score was changed over to a rate score for assessment purposes. Checking and Digital Evaluation: One administrator fired the set-up of the records and examined all tasks to four NEVO scanners (NEVO 1 to 4, D4D Technologies, Richardson, TX, USA). The pictures were checked for appropriate information thickness and afterward adjusted to the highest quality level, with the resilience level set at 0.3 mm to create a general score (Figs 1-6). This score mirrored the rate coordinate between the task and the highest quality level as determined by the product. Information Analysis: One-path ANOVA with rehashed measures was utilized to decide any huge contrasts in scores among four NEVO scanners. Combined example t-test was directed to recognize any contrast between visual evaluations and the normal evaluations of four NEVO scanners. Pearson’s connection test was utilized to survey the connection between visual evaluations and normal evaluations of NEVO scanners. All tests used a 0.05 degree of criticalness, and factual investigations were performed utilizing the measurable bundle SASÂ ® System variant 9.3 (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). RESULTS Thirty-five teeth were utilized for this examination. Five scores were gotten from every tooth with five unique strategies; one from an educator and four from the NEVO scanners. Table 2 presents an outline of illustrative measurements on scores by the five assessment techniques. (1) Detecting the distinction in scores among the four NEVO scanners The information were investigated utilizing the single direction ANOVA with rehashed measures. This examination uncovered no critical distinction in scores among the four scanners (p=0.0852). (2) Detecting the distinction in scores among visual and NEVO assessment strategies There was a huge contrast in scores among visual and NEVO assessment techniques (p=0.0217; a matched example t-test). The information uncovered that the mean scores from visual assessment strategy were essentially lower than those got from the NEVO assessment technique (mean score: 72.4 versus 75.1) (Table 2). Note that the normal scores of four scanners (NEVO_AVE) were utilized for the correlations. (3) Assessing the connection among's visual and NEVO evaluating scores In light of both Pearson’s connection test, the information gave solid proof that there was a huge relationship among's visual and NEVO assessment scores (p Conversation Digitization through creative innovation has become a necessary piece of contemporary dental practice. This pattern is showed by the expanded utilization of PC helped plan and PC supported assembling (CAD/CAM) innovation that advances that day arrangement and same day conveyance idea. Movers and Shakers in Education Essay

Pioneers in American Education There have been a few people all through America’s history who have created, shape, advance, parity, and change training to what it is today. America’s instructive framework has a rich foundation from its underlying foundations of one room school buildings to our present arrangement of training which offers a variety of chances for understudies to get a government funded instruction. John Dewey John Dewey was an American logician, therapist and instructive reformer whose thoughts have been compelling in training and social change. Dewey is known as the originator of the dynamic training development. He contended that it was the activity of training to urge people to build up their maximum capacity as individuals. Dewey’s instructive hypotheses were introduced in an assortment of books he created. A few persistent subjects sound accurate in a large portion of Dewey’s books. They incorporate his continuous contention that instruction and learning are social and intelligent procedures, along these lines school ought to be viewed as a social organization where social change can and should happen. What's more, he accepted that understudies flourish in a situation where they are permitted to understanding and interface with the educational program so all understudies ought to have the chance to partake in their own learning. He was particularly condemning of types of remembrance realizing where redundancy of realities and data was worked out. He contended that youngsters ought to learn by understanding. As opposed to simply picking up information, Dewey accepted that understudies ought to create aptitudes, propensities and mentalities essential for them to tackle a wide assortment of issues. Dewey’s inheritance of the significance of experiential learning stays right up 'til the present time. There are various schools over the United States that follow his hypotheses and strategies for educating. [pic] Alvarez versus The Board of Trustees of the Lemon Grove School District. The historical backdrop of school integration enactment in the United States didn't start with the 1954 Supreme Court’s choice on account of Brown versus he Topeka educational committee, yet rather in a provincial network called Lemon Grove situated in Southern California. It has as of late been found that the most punctual legal disputes concerning school integration happened in the American Southwest during the 1930s. In these cases, Mexican migrants and their networks were the focused on gatherings of isolation by school authorities. A noteworthy case during this time was the 1930 choice in Roberto Alvarez versus the Board of Trustees of the Lemon Grove School District. This was the principal fruitful school integration court choice throughout the entire existence of the United States. It speaks to a case when network individuals made court move and won their case, notwithstanding negative conclusion towards them, to guarantee the privileges of their kids to get equivalent training, making it a significant occasion in both San Diego and U. S. history. The case remains as an a sound representative for the activism of San Diego’s Mexican people group who utilized the open arrangement of equity to guarantee that Mexican-American kids in California, yet the remainder of the United States approached quality instruction (Alvarez, Jr. , 1984). [pic] Science and Math Education Movement With the starting of Sputnik in October 1957, Americans turned out to be amazingly dreadful that the United States was falling behind in the zones of innovation, science, and arithmetic. Residents of the United States expected that their nation could see a lack of prepared instructors, engineers, and profoundly taught understudies sooner rather than later if something was not done. In light of open weight, the government passed the National Defense Education Act (NDEA) in 1958. The demonstration bolstered endeavors of scholastic experts to amend educational plan as indicated by the most recent hypotheses and techniques. Upgrades were made in every single branch of knowledge and foundations were held to prepare instructors in the utilization of new materials and strategies (Webb, Metha, ; Jordan, 2010). Notwithstanding improving the educational plan, the NDEA additionally supported projects that gave direction, guiding, and testing programs for understudies. As indicated by creators Webb, Metha, ; Jordan, the NDEA set up for the bureaucratic government’s expanded inclusion in training (2010). [pic] Out of the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) of 1975 came the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in 1990. These bits of enactment were an aftereffect of the previous Civil Rights Movement in Education during the 1960s where underestimated bunches were battling for equity and balance inside the training framework. The government law, IDEA, was built up in 1990. It applies to all kids with handicaps from birth to age twenty-one. The sculpture characterizes â€Å"disabled children† as those with mental hindrance, hearing weaknesses, enthusiastic aggravation, orthopedic debilitations, chemical imbalance, awful cerebrum injury, numerous handicaps, or explicit learning inabilities. To get benefits under the IDEA, an understudy must have a handicap, yet the condition likewise should influence the student’s instruction. The significant standards remembered for the IDEA are: the privilege to free and suitable instruction, ID and nondiscriminatory assessment, an individualized training program (IEP), least prohibitive condition, and procedural fair treatment (Webb, et al. , 2010). While the law has changed and become throughout the years, it stays clear in the homeroom right up 'til today. It has advanced research and innovation improvement, subtleties on change programs for post secondary school understudies, and projects that teach kids in their local schools rather than discrete schools.

Fatima Farheen Mirza’s A Place for Us, the imprints debut novel, was just released. Take a look at any list of the greatest detectives in fiction â€" say, this one â€" and it’s hard to ignore the fact that they’re overwhelmingly white and male. Some of them may be intellectuals, while others prefer to solve a tricky case with their fists, but one thing Sherlock Holmes shares with Sam Spade, Jack Reacher and Kurt Wallander is the colour of his face. The Guardian talks about the dearth of diversity in detective fiction and highlights some diverse authors writing in the genre. Why Not Eat Insects by Marcel Dicke Movie Review

Essays on Why Not Eat Insects by Marcel Dicke Movie Review The paper "Why Not Eat Insects? by Marcel Dicke" is an excellent example of a movie review on biology. Marcel Dicke in the Video â€Å"Why not eat insects† s that that 80% of the world’s animals walk on six legs; therefore, they are insects (Dicke). In the world’s biodiversity, there are 6 million species of insects. This leads to the assertion that the world is a planet of insects and not humans since they are more abundant than humans.   Dicke argues that insects are significant contributors to the economy, even though people may not be aware of the fact; insects contribute free of charge towards developing the economy. Therefore, insects are not only contributors to the economy but also major delicacies in various parts of the world such as China (Dicke). However, while people in some parts knowingly consume insects as part of their daily diet, almost all people in the world consume insects unknowingly. This occurs because food processing makes use of products that are derived from insects. Therefore, food additives such as natural dyes are produced by insects. This means that insects contribute on a large scale to feeding the world’s population.Dicke observes that the world population is increasing dramatically; hence, there is a corresponding increase in the demand for food. Therefore, insects offer the only solution to the escalating global food problem. In addition, insects have a higher nutrient content in comparison to regular protein sources. Therefore, he argues that it is more economical to invest in insect production than investing in other forms of food. Evidently, 70% of the global agricultural land is used for livestock production (Dicke). This land would be significant enough to produce insects to feed the entire world. Already over 80% of the world’s population are eating insects; therefore, the remaining 20% should follow suit (Dicke). All that is required is changing perceptions and mindsets in as far as insects are concerned. A number of entrepreneurs have already taken up serving insects as delicacies in their restaurants; hence, kick-starting the road towards a world that values insects as a primary source of nutrition.

Citi Group Restructuring Free Essays

Background It all began with the financial crisis of 2007-2008, a crisis which was of a scale that had never been seen before. Many economists called it even worse than the Great Depression. Whether it was or not, that’s something that could be argued. We will write a custom essay sample on Citi Group Restructuring or any similar topic only for you Order Now But everyone was of the view that the crisis is really very serious. As a result of it large financial institutions collapsed, banks were being bailed out by the national governments and stock markets tanked to their new lows. This caused the collapse of housing markets in many countries, consumer spending suffered immensely as a result, industries went bankrupt, businesses closed down and unemployment peaked. There were many reasons that were put forth by various economists. A report presented in the US senate called it as the â€Å"failure of regulators, credit agencies and markets†. Citigroup’s Sufferings According to a US government’s report which came into the light in 2011, Citigroup which was the third largest US bank in terms of assets at that time was on the verge of failure. Regulators were going to pull the plugs on it anytime as depositors were withdrawing their deposits and bank’s counterparties also declined to give credits to the bank. How Citigroup moved to new setup? Citigroup suffered losses for five consecutive quarters. In the fifth quarter, in fact its losses were to the tune of $ 8. 29 billion. Many in the Citigroup agreed to the fact that unless something is done to sharpen its strategy, Citigroup will never regain its glory and perform accordingly. As a result, Citigroup started analyzing its business and strategies. It was found that Citigroup was involved in too many business segments which stopped it from focusing on its core interest area. While analyzing, everything big or small was examined. Citigroup in its annual report called the analysis as â€Å"wide ranging and dispassionate†. The outcome of this analysis was that the Citigroup finally decided to realign the group’s various business interests in two broad segments: Citicorp and Citi Holdings. The thinking behind this new setup was that this structure will help the company focus on its core business areas which in turn would improve the overall performance, while at the same time realizing the value from its non-core assets. The new structure would look like this: In Citicorp, businesses which were core to the group’s strategy and which offered maximum earnings potential to its shareholders with appropriate risk parameters were placed. These businesses are: †¢ Global Transaction Services – Treasury and Trade Solutions Securities and Fund Services †¢ Securities and Banking – Global Banking – Global Markets – Citi Private Bank – Citi Capital Advisors †¢ Regional Consumer Banking – Four Regional Consumer Banks in North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Latin America and Asia that each include retail banking, local commercial banking and Citi-branded cards (Source: http://www. citigroup. com/citi/in vestor/quarterly/2010) Citicorp, according to the new structure will be a relationship driven global bank, to serve both consumers and businesses. The assets of Citicorp include its core assets located across the globe with strong presence in emerging markets like India, China etc. Citicorp will have the capability to take deposits from customers throughout the world in a manner so that maximum return could be availed. Citicorp will have the capacity to serve local customers globally and global customers in a highly localized way. While in Citi Holdings, assets and businesses which were not central to Citi’s strategy were placed. But that does not mean that those assets were not good. Some have had very high value in their own right. Some were big iconic brands like Morgan Stanley Smith Barney joint venture. Citi Holdings includes: †¢ Brokerage and Asset Management, which includes the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney joint venture †¢ Local Consumer Lending – North America, which includes residential and commercial real estate loans; auto, student and personal loans; and retail partner cards International, which includes Western Europe consumer banking and other consumer finance franchises around the world †¢ Special Asset Pool, which includes non-core assets, many of which are illiquid in current markets Citi Holdings will consist of non-core businesses which attract long term investments. But since those businesses are not the core one, therefore they do not enhance the performance of the group as a whole and in fact they compete for the limited resources that the company could employ in a h ighly risky and volatile situation. It was expected that the management team of Citi Holdings will restructure, divest and manage its business in a way that maximizes the value and will take the group forward in a tough economic situation Vikram Pandit, then CEO of Citigroup in one of his interview talked about â€Å"accelerating the implementation of its newly evolved strategy to focus on its core business†. Given the market conditions and business sentiments, Vikram Pandit wanted to streamline the business of Citigroup as soon as possible to further strengthen its position and better serve its clients. Ronald Wilson Reagan Essays - Conservatism In The United States

Ronald Wilson Reagan Ronald Wilson Reagan Many famous people have lived during this century. How are they recognized for their achievements that they have accomplished? Some notable figures have buildings and roads named after them. Some have statues or plaques erected for the accomplishments. The only thing about the above mentioned way of giving recognition to a person for doing something is not everyone in America has a chance to realize that a person has succeeded in such a way that they have been honored. On the other hand if a person has reached an achievement so great, why not consider to put the picture on a United States postage stamp. One person in the past one hundred years has earned to be recognized in this sort of way, and the person is Ronald Wilson Reagan. I believe that Ronald Reagan should be commemorated on a stamp because he achieved more during his eight years in office than the public give him credit for. Ronald Reagan was born February 6, 1911 in Tampico Illinois. His mother and father were Nelle Wilson and John Edward. Reagan graduated high school in 1928 and attended Eureka College, which he majored in economics. Reagan went on to become a Hollywood actor and starred in over 50 page 2 movies. During World War II, he entered the Army as a second lieutenant, but was disqualified from combat due to poor eye sight. So he made military training film for the next four years. Reagan ran for governor of California in 1966 and won by nearly a million votes (New Book 1-2). Then in 1980 Reagan opted to run for President of the United States. Within in minutes after been sworn into office, Iran released 52 American hostages that had been held for more than 14 months. Reagan then worked out a economic program called Reaganomics. This created the largest tax and budget cut this country has ever seen. Within in two years inflation was at its lowest, unemployment was low and energy cost where low (World 479). Although the budget for the Defense Department was high, America had more peacetime troop build up in history to help slow the expansion of Communism (Our Glorious Century 390). Reagan also appointed Sandra Day OConnor as the first woman Supreme Court Justice during his first term as president (New Book 4). Just as Reagan had a plan with domestic issues, he had a plan with foreign affairs issues as well. In 83, He ordered Marines to Lebanon as a peacekeeping force. Reagan also sent forces to Grenada to prevent an attempt to take over the Caribbean island by Cuba (World Book 479). Reagan knew something had to be done about international terrorism. Thats why in 1986 Reagan Page 3 retaliated against world terrorism by ordering the bombing of Libyan military targets (New Book 5). Reagan was also know to have a firm hand with the Soviets. Reagan became know as The Great Communicator (Our Glorious Century 390). In 1987, the Senate approved a treaty, Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF), banning all soviet short and medium range missile. This negotiation between then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev was Reagans greatest accomplishment (New Book 5). Throughout the Reagan Years, Reagan was able to restore prosperity and economic strength. After he left office peace and strength was at a grasp. Reagan believed in smaller government and a greater America. Reagan accomplished so much during his eight years as president that this paper just brushes the major aspects of his legacy. Thats why I believe Ronald W. Reagan should receive the recognition he deserves and what a better way to honor a man that was such a great leader than to have him commemorated on a postage stamp. A Summary of Geomorphology and Its Processes

A Summary of Geomorphology and Its Processes Geomorphology is defined as the science of landforms with an emphasis on their origin, evolution, form, and distribution across the physical landscape. An understanding of geomorphology and its processes is therefore essential to the understanding of physical geography. History of Geomorphology Although the study of geomorphology has been around since ancient times, the first official geomorphologic model was proposed between 1884 and 1899 by the American geographer, William Morris Davis. His geomorphic cycle model was inspired by theories of uniformitarianism and attempted to theorize the development of various landform features. Daviss geomorphic cycle model says that a landscape undergoes a preliminary uplift that is paired with erosion (the removal or wearing down) of materials in that uplifted landscape. Within the same landscape, precipitation causes streams to flow more rapidly. As they grow their power then cuts into the grounds surface both at the start of the stream and lower down the stream. This creates the stream channels present in many landscapes. This model also says that the slope angle of the land is gradually reduced and the ridges and divides present in certain landscapes become rounded over time because of erosion. The cause of this erosion is not however limited to water as in the stream example. Finally, according to Daviss model, over time such erosion occurs in cycles and a landscape eventually morphs into an old erosional surface. Daviss theory was important in launching the field of geomorphology and was innovative at its time as it was a new attempt to explain physical landform features. Today, however, it is not usually used as a model because the processes he described are not so systematic in the real world and it failed to take into account the processes being observed in later geomorphic studies. Since Daviss model, several alternative attempts have been made to explain landform processes. Walther Penck, an Austrian geographer, developed a model in the 1920s for example, that looked at ratios of uplift and erosion. It did not take hold though because it could not explain all landform features. Geomorphologic Processes Today, the study of geomorphology is broken down into the study of various geomorphologic processes. Most of these processes are considered to be interconnected and are easily observed and measured with modern technology. In addition, the individual processes are considered to be either erosional, depositional, or both. An erosional process involves the wearing down of the earth’s surface by wind, water, and/or ice. A depositional process is the laying down of material that has been eroded by wind, water, and/or ice. The geomorphologic processes are as follows: Fluvial Fluvial geomorphologic processes are those related to rivers and streams. The flowing water found here is important in shaping the landscape in two ways. First, the power of the water moving across a landscape cuts and erodes its channel. As it does this, the river shapes its landscape by growing in size, meandering across the landscape, and sometimes merging with other rivers forming a network of braided rivers. The paths rivers take depend on the topology of the area and the underlying geology or rock structure found where its moving. In addition, as the river carves its landscape it carries the sediment it erodes as it flows. This gives it more power to erode as there is more friction in the moving water, but it also deposits this material when it floods or flows out of mountains onto an open plain in the case of an alluvial fan (image). Mass Movement The mass movement process, also sometimes called mass wasting, occurs when soil and rock moves down a slope under the force of gravity. The movement of the material is called creeping, slides, flows, topples, and falls. Each of these is dependent on the speed of movement and composition of the material moving. This process is both erosional and depositional. Glacial Glaciers are one of the most significant agents of landscape change simply because of their sheer size and power as they move across an area. They are erosional forces because their ice carves the ground beneath them and on the sides in the case of a valley glacier which results in a U-shaped valley. Glaciers are also depositional because their movement pushes rocks and other debris into new areas. The sediment created by the grinding down of rocks by glaciers is called glacial rock flour. As glaciers melt, they also drop their debris creating features like eskers and moraines. Weathering Weathering is an erosional process that involves the chemical break down of rock (such as limestone) and the mechanical wearing down of rock by a plant’s roots growing and pushing through it, ice expanding in its cracks, and abrasion from sediment pushed by wind and water. Weathering can, for example, result in rock falls and eroded rock like those found in Arches National Park, Utah. Geomorphology and Geography One of the most popular divisions of geography is physical geography. By studying geomorphology and its processes, one can gain significant insight into the formation of the various structures found in landscapes worldwide, which can then be used as a background for studying the many aspects of physical geography.

Social Media Automation Best Practices Like anything else in the realm social media, there are major do’s and don’ts as well as best practices that will help you get the most out of your automation process. Read Before You Share If you’re sharing content, it’s important that you read the whole article or consume the piece in its entirety. Why? You need to be able to create messaging that shows actual understanding of what it’s about. People can tell if you haven’t read the content before posting it. You also want to make sure that a piece of content fits your brand. Headlines don’t always explain everything, and the last thing your team wants to do is post an article that doesn’t have anything to do with what your company does. Plus it’s lazy and you don’t want to be lazy when it comes to social media. #social #media tip: always read before you share!Automate Your Social Media Promotions For Publishing New Content Our next best practice for automating social media marketing is to create new social media campaigns anytime your team creates a new piece of content. You spend a lot of time working on that content, so dont waste the opportunity to promote it. Shut Off Your Automated Campaigns During A Company Crisis It happened. Suddenly your company is in PR crisis mode, which means the first thing your team needs to do is shut off your automatic social campaigns. There is nothing worse than when a company is already facing a crisis, and suddenly a tweet goes out about something irrelevant It comes off as insensitive to what’s already happening with the company and could make the situation worse. If your team goes into a crisis mode, pop into your calendar and find your social campaigns: Either turn them off until the crisis has passed: Or push their publish date back a week or two, until you’re back in control of the situation: When in doubt, consult your PR disaster plan  or speak to your communications team on what steps to take. Recommended Reading: How to Build a Thorough Social Media Policy to Prevent Emergencies Facing a #social #media crisis? Dont forget to turn off any #automated campaigns.Use ReQueue To Reshare Evergreen Social Media Content You should be sure to maximize the life of your evergreen content by resharing it on social media. But wouldn’t people become annoyed seeing the same social message? Not exactly because social media messages have a short lifespan. For Facebook, it’s about two hours and thirty minutes, while Twitter is a maximum of 18 minutes. That means that your team should reuse that content again to make sure your audience actually sees it. Re-posting your content can be time-consuming though. That’s where a tool like ReQueue  comes in. ReQueue is an intelligent social media queue that allows users to reshare content at the click of a button and simply forget it. Not to mention that ReQueue is super simple to activate. Just scroll down to the post you want to add to your queue: Scroll to the bottom and toggle the ReQueue switch to on: Select your queue feed and the tool will take it from there: #social #media tip: use #ReQueue in @to reshare posts auto-magically:Use Best Time Scheduling To Automate Posting Times The final best practice we’ll cover is sending your posts at the best times. Why? During peak times when your audience is the most active, you have the best chance at getting more eyeballs on your content. Now with Best Time Scheduling  in  ,  you don’t have to sit and look up the best times to post anymore.  It’ll do that automatically for you. How can you active this fantastic feature? Go to your calendar and select a social post: Scroll down to the bottom: Select Best Time from the dropdown menu and let do the rest: Avoid These  Cardinal Sins Of Social Media Automation The ability to automate your social media is an awesome power, but with that power comes the responsibility of using it correctly. So these are some faux pas you should avoid at all cost. Automatic Direct Messages (DM) Nothing grinds my gears more than when I follow someone on Twitter and an automatic message shows up in my direct message folder. While it may seem like a good idea to thank everyone who follows you, it comes off like spam. No one wants to read a hollow sentiment  they know every other follower is getting. So, just say no to automated DMs. Just say no to automated DMs.Automated Responses To Customer Complaints There’s a very good reason why you should never, ever send automated responses to customer complaints. Applebee’s  found that out the hard way a few years ago when they started copying and pasting the same comment over and over to angry customers. When someone is already fired up on social media, they want to know they’ve been heard. Automating your company’s response sends a clear message that their opinion doesn’t matter to you and adds  gas  to the flame. Never automate responses to customer complaints on #social #media.Schedule One Message Across Multiple Networks While it may seem like a great social media hack, your team needs to avoid is posting the same message across multiple networks. Each social network has different requirements and best practices. Not to mention unique audiences and purposes. For example, your LinkedIn content might be professional, while your tweets might be more fun and light-hearted. There’s an easy way to optimize every post for each network, though.  Use the Social Message Optimizer. Using this free  web-based  tool is simple. First, type your message into the field and select which type of post you’re going to be sharing: After hitting score my message, you’ll have feedback on how to improve your post for every network. You can edit the message without changing it for the whole group: Once you find the right fit, copy the content into your calendar: Use the Social Message Optimizer to tailor each post to every network.Setting Up Your Account For Social Automation Get your team members that will be working on social media marketing  set up in your organization’s  account. In the settings tab of your calendar underneath Team is a spot for you to add new team members: To start, enter their email address: They should receive an email that walks them through how to set up their account: Once their account is set up, a short onboarding session will walk them through how to use the tool: If your team needs more profiles than what is available with your plan, you can add more by going to Billing and adding extra profiles for an additional fee instead of upgrading your whole plan. Once your users are in, you need to connect your company’s profiles. To do this go to your settings menu and under Social Profiles, select Connect A Social Profile: Select the channel you want to connect: Available profiles or pages will surface allowing you to pick which ones you’d like to connect: Your newly connected profile should show in your connected profiles feed: Creating Ad Hoc Social Media Posts Ad-hoc social media posts are one-off posts that stand by themselves (rather than being part of a broader coordinated campaign). . These normally don’t connect to a piece of content that your team has created but they can link out to landing pages, videos,  etc. Go to your calendar and choose the day that you want to schedule your message and click +: Select Social Message from your content options: Choose the channel that you want to send your message on: Craft your post: To add a photo or video to your message, change the message type to the media type you want to add and your media by clicking the +add image or +add video: Select the file you want to upload: Once your file is uploaded you’ll be able to preview how it will look on the channel: To add a link, scroll over to the link tab, and enter your web address at the bottom of the post: You can now schedule your post, using Best Time Scheduling: You can also customize your time by selecting Custom Time from the dropdown menu and changing it: Then let’s say that your post is performing incredibly well. You can enable ReQueue to reshare that post and keep its momentum going. If you haven’t set up ReQueue yet, you need to walk through a small series of steps to get the system started. First go to left-hand side bar menu, select ReQueue and +New Group: Groups allow users to create different ReQueue content groups, so when you set up a new group you need to name it, determine what dates you want the group to send messages on, and decide how many messages the group can send in a given time period: There are two different ways you can add messages to your ReQueue group. One is toggling the ReQueue switch to on, like we showed you earlier. The other is to write your message directly in ReQueue. Select your group and click on Add Message: Craft your message like you would in the regular calendar: The last step in setting up your ReQueue is setting up how often ReQueue will fill the gaps in your calendar. To start, select Go to my ReQueue Settings in the upper right-hand corner: Then you’ll see a calendar where you can select the time frame and day that you want ReQueue to send your messages in: Finally, you need to set how many messages you want ReQueue to send per  day on each channel: Recommended Reading: How to Write For Social Media to Create the Best Posts Promoting Content With Social Media  Campaigns in Did you know that you can create social media campaigns to promote your WordPress content in one place with ? That’s where Social Templates and Social Helpers come into play. To start, select the square icon under Social Campaigns and select +New Template: Title your template: Then add in the number of messages you want to send for each campaign. Select +New Helper, and then +Text Helper: Create title tags for each new social helper. That will allow to automatically populate them in your campaign. Select the brackets in the upper right-hand corner of each message, and select the helper you want to add: Next, you’re going to add image helpers to your campaign which will automatically add the photos you upload to your scheduled messages. Go back to your helper menu, and select Image Helper: Label your image helpers the same way that you labeled your text helpers. Do not add photos in your template. Select the message that you want to add an image to by clicking on the camera icon: The image helper title will appear. Click to add it to your template: Once you have your text and image helpers in place you can apply the template to any campaign by selecting the campaign name from the social template menu and clicking apply: In the template,  add your copy to your text helpers,  and select the camera button to add images to each of your image helpers: After you’ve uploaded all your images,  check your messages to see if the text and image helpers have been applied: WordPress + social media + @= success.Creating Standalone Social Media Campaigns Finally, let’s  walk through creating   standalone social media campaigns. To do this go to your settings and scroll down to content types: Scroll down and choose Social Campaign from the drop-down menu: Then go to the content menu in your calendar and select Social Campaign: Title your campaign and set the date it will start: You can either add in the messages in manually by selecting the + icon or adding a social template: From there you can follow the steps that were previously outlined. And let’s face it, if you have tons of  posts to approve,  it  could take FOREVER. What if there was a way to automate that approval process? Setting Up Task Templates The first step in automating your approval process is setting up tasks templates that allow you to apply your to-do list into any social media piece. To create a task template, click into a piece of content, select the square box in the corner, and select +New Template: Title your template: Add in tasks that your team needs to complete in order to finish a project: Assign team members in your calendar to the tasks by clicking +Assign or clicking the arrow on the right-hand side of the task. You can also assign due dates for the task by choosing a day before publishing or creating a custom date in the Due dropdown menu: Once you have your tasks created and assign in your template, you can apply that template to any piece of content by selecting the square box in the top right-hand corner, and choosing your template: Adding Approval Steps To Your Workflows Someone on your team (or your client’s team) is probably responsible for approving content. Writing posts in Word docs and sending them back and forth via email isn’t exactly efficient, though. There has to be a better way, right? That’s where task approval steps in come in. You can assign approvals for any task in your task template and your team members won’t be able to check off the task until it’s been approved by a manager. To set this up, go back into your task template and click the arrow on the right-hand side. In the template, it will say Requires Approval From. Select the person that needs to approve the task contents: When the content creator is ready for the approver to check their work, a dash will appear in the box. This will alert the manager that content is ready for them to view: Managers will then be able to approve the task: Once the task is approved the usual checkmark will appear: Using task templates will help get your team out of their inbox and organized in one place. Final exam Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Final exam - Essay Example Socrates Socrates had taken a crucial role of caring for people’s souls in their life, and they had a conviction that the real persons are the souls; thus, through their arguments it is evident that a person’s soul is the center of their character (Richard and Elder, 1). Moreover, the Socrates argued that the souls is the basis through which people think, feel, set values and make decision; thus, it a significant determinant of a person’s foolishness of brilliance. One of the significant ideas that can be derived from their teachings and be applied in life is that people’s souls should be kept healthy like their bodies (Richard and Elder, 1). Furthermore, Socrates proposed that the souls can be kept healthy by not being ignorant in life. Besides, these philosophers suggested that people should take tasks in realizing their potential. Plato The teaching of this philosopher is focused on the concept of Absolute Goodness, whereby Plato portrayed high consciou sness in his profundity regarding the subject; thus, he had interest in discovering the Creator and Father of the universe, and an exploration of his operations (Wilder, 1). Nonetheless, he discovered that there was an impossibility of revealing this, but he considered justice, truth, and beauty to be element of the creator and father of the universe. On the other hand, Plato’s study has a high consideration of Good as a branch and concepts he introduced are highly applicable in people life through their soul in numerous ways (Wilder, 1). In fact, people experience them in their life, while others have been recognizing them as universal principles that are infinite and absolute (Wilder, 1). Nevertheless, they may seem to be hidden or abstract, but they are aroused, thereby enabling people to make a distinction between wrong from right. Therefore, knowledge acquired from Plato is substantial in understanding a person’s inner most being and their external world. Aristotl e Aristotle made a significant contribution to science and philosophy, and his contribution is beyond scope that can be exhibited by this paper; thus, an overview of this contribution indicate that Aristotle’s ideas has a direct association with reality and eternal forms, which are identified through reflection and purpose. He had real perception towards objects through experience; thus, a lot can be gathered from his teaching such as reality in perception towards organisms (Waggoner, 1). For instance, Aristotle offered an explanation of organisms in terms of their potential, matter, forms, and reality; in fact, he suggested that a block of marble matter determines the shape created by sculptor, just like the embryo had the ability to develop to a living plant or animal (Waggoner, 1). In addition, information acquired from the Aristotle’s teaching can be applied people to classify their way of life based in their actions and their roles. Augustine Some of the things le arnt from Augustine are the notion that people should see themselves in a little book as mirror. He

Essay --

The narrator of The Autobiography of an Ex-colored Man was born to a â€Å"colored† mother and white father. This combination of his identity led him to encounter many internal and external challenges. Physically he appeared white, so he experienced being able to â€Å"pass† as both â€Å"colored† or white whenever he wished. Being able do such a thing, the narrator struggled with racial boundaries. He embodied almost every permutation, intentional or unintentional, of the experience when encountering various racial (white and â€Å"colored†) communities, eventually deciding to pass as white at the end of the novel. Due to cowardice, instead of representing his race, he suppressed the African-American part of his identity and destroyed his chances of achieving true contentedness and self-awareness. â€Å"Passing† was a common theme seen in many novels that came to relevance during the Harlem Renaissance. This phenomenon dealt with the impermeability of racial boundaries when a person with any amount of African-American blood was considered â€Å"colored†Ã¢â‚¬ . The narrator dealt with this complicated aspect of his life through innumerable experiences while being a part of white and â€Å"colored† communities. Although his mother was â€Å"colored†, his father, who was absent during his childhood, was a white man. In spite of of his â€Å"colored† roots, the narrator had the advantage of outwardly appearing white, thus being able to pass as a white man whenever he desired. He often considered his meaningful African-American origin, but typically resorted to associating with the white race: eventually suppressing the â€Å"colored† element of his identity completely. The narrator was unaware of his â€Å"colored† origin early on in his life. He was observant of his surroundings, but never... ...ith the â€Å"colored† people: he chose to disassociate. The narrator of The Autobiography of an Ex-colored Man decided not to fight for racial equality in America for his fellow African-American, or even for himself, but rather conformed with the white majority thus selecting the uncomplicated path: the path that would lead him to security and safety in the years to come. After struggling with his identity in the white and African-American community as a â€Å"colored† man who could pass as white, he decided to discard his â€Å"colored† roots and stick with his white origin. By doing such a thing, he was able to live a simple, respectful, and safe life, but he abandoned a very significant part of his identity. He felt slight remorse towards the end of the novel, but self-interest held more importance to him than embracing the cultural heritage of the African-American community.

The Academic Standards of Schools Today

College or technical schools are supposed to be the gateway to higher paying careers, but most are not all that they are cracked up to be. The standards and goals that society wants met are continually not being met by the students today. Also, many higher learning facilities lack the funds to provide positive learning environments for students. For these reasons and many more are keeping the students of today from benefiting fully from schools. Society today has to make some new choices for the students of tomorrow, choices that will carry them into the next millennium. Society can either â€Å"lower standards so that everybody â€Å"passes† in a way that looses all meaning in the real world† or † raise standards and then meet them† (Barber 479). I personally believe in raising our expectations and doing whatever is needed to meet them. Our countries standards are among the lowest in the world and † at the same moment as we are transferring our responsibilities to the shoulders of the next generation, we are blaming them for our own generation†s most conspicuous failures† (Barber 472). Every election year the candidates use something about education as one of their platforms, but few ever carry through with them once they are elected. Most education bills die in congress in some shape or another and the ones that actually make it through congress, are usually ineffective because they have been changed and modified to the point of ineffectiveness. Also, many of the learning facilities today lack the funding to provide adequate, positive learning environments for students. Underpaid teachers and professors who † make less than accountants architects, doctors, lawyers, engineers, judges, health professionals, auidiors, and surveyors† and thus many student disregard teachers as role models. If people see someone who can score touchdowns or dunk a basketball making millions while their teachers are scraping bottom to survive, then how can an educator possibly motivate them to learn (Barber 470). Many people chase after their â€Å"dreams† of money instead of seeing the reality of learning. Although society today rates an education as one of their top priorities, they still allow learning facilities to become broken and run down. Like animals, children and adults file into buildings with bad floors, horrible plumbing, leaky roofs and ceilings, and pack into desk, usually 35+ per educator. Today the government spends $35,000 a year to keep someone behind bars and only a fraction of that to keep them in school (Barber 475). Tuition, room, and board at most colleges now come to at least $7,000, not counting books and fees. This might seem to suggest that the colleges are getting rich. But they are equally battered by inflation. Tuition covers only 60 percent of what it cost to educate a student, and ordinarily the remainder comes from what colleges receive in endowments, grants, and gifts† (Bird 498). Its about time we started to provide more money. Funding more for education wont solve every problem but no problem can even begin to be solved without it. The so-called higher learning facilities of today are selling students short when it comes to their education. Properly funding the education system and setting new standards for the future is an important part of education reform. Education reform for the US is a vital part of insuring the future for students and bringing them up to the standards set by other countries. The Creation, Development, And Future Of Nestle Toll House...

Felipe Cazares Tiffany Lugo Professor Samarelli Intro to Business 7 December 2105 The Creation, Development, and Future of Nestle Toll House Cafe Nestle Toll House Cafe is one of the most developed and successful franchises known. Henri Nestle, a German entrepreneur, began the fundamentals of Nestle Toll House Cafe in 1867 when he invented a nutritious product for infants that mothers who were not able to breastfeed could utilize. This nurturing product is what gave the Nestle brand the security, affection, nourishment, and nature that everyone looks for when trying to buy a trustworthy product. During the years, Henri Nestle created specific brands of chocolates. His best chocolate was milk chocolate, which over the years, he perfected and the Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate bar. The Semi-Sweet Chocolate bar also led to one of the best creations that made his company successful until this day. Henri Nestle passed away in 1890, but his products are still being created and sold. A young woman, Ruth Wakefield, purchased a Cape Cod-style toll house that was located near Boston.
